Vacuum Belt Filter
The vacuum belt filter is used for the filtration of liquids when a more traditional method i.e. filter press will not suffice due to the nature of the liquid to be filtered.
The wastewater is fed into a weir from above and evenly distributed over the bed of the filter for more efficient filtration. As the water is sucked through the filter belt the residue is left to be transported upwards, where it is de-watered further to form a solid cake, before being deposited off the end of the belt into the collection area. The filtered water can then be re-circulated with in the process.
Mechanical Solutions will design and build a filter to suit your individual needs dependent on through put, the wastewater to be filtered and positioning.
