Ring Shredder
Mechanical Solutions design and manufacture ring shredders. Like hammermills they rely on inertia and impact to achieve the required size reduction and liberation. Consisting of a robustly built upper and lower sections and fully lined with wear resistant liners and inter-changeable sizing grids. The rotor is of heavy construction with a series of pins, onto which the ring hammers are threaded.
The use of ring hammers has the benefit of being a little less brutal than a traditional hammer mill, so does not bunch up the metals as much, allowing the different fractions to be separated more efficiently.
A Ring Shredder is the ideal solution for the effective size reduction of light scrap and the liberation of valuable non-ferrous element of the feed stock, such as:
- Electronic Waste (WEEE)
- Aluminum
- Small Electrical Motors
